Monster Hunter is adding in two irate monster variants next month for Iceborne

Back in January, Capcom shared their roadmap for the first half of 2020 in Monster Hunter: World – Iceborne, showing that console and PC players would be getting different content until an April update started syncing everything up. The roadmap also showed that console players would be getting two variant monsters in March (and in April for PC), but not what they were. Now, Capcom has revealed them as the Raging Brachydios and Furious Rajang; both of which will be arriving as part of Icebornce’s third free title update.
“Get ready for the most brutal brawls of your hunting careers”, the trailer warns. The normal variety of these two monsters are bad enough; the Brachydios uses its saliva to make the slime covering its arms explosive, whilst Rajang, a fanged beast, is strong enough in its rampage mode to destory shock traps. It goes without saying that the furious variants of these two monsters are likely to be even more unpleasant.

PC players, while waiting for the Raging Brachydios and Furious Rajang to arrive, will be getting Stygian Zinogre and Safi’jiiva in March, along with the Guiding Lands Tundra Region as part of Title Update 2. In April, console players will get new arch-tempered versions of monsters already in the game, and the Astera/Seliana Fest. Capcom’s sync of content for consoles and PC will also start in April, so alongside 2X variant monsters, PC gamers will also be getting the same April content as came to consoles. Now synced, all players will be getting the “return of a fan-favourite monster” in May, followed by new monsters and updates for June onward. Currently underway in Iceborne is the Grand Appreciation Fest; which is drawing to an end, and will finish tomorrow.

Capcom haven’t yet said when exactly in March the Raging Brachydios and Furious Rajang will arrive, but we’ll keep you posted.
