All Horizon Zero Dawn comic issue #1 covers revealed and also a new release date has been announced.
If you couldn’t get enough of Aloy and her adventures through a post-apocalyptic land ruled by robotic creatures, you’re in luck. First revealed back in March, Horizon Zero Dawn comic series, written by Anne Toole, is set to explore the story after the events of the first game and was originally meant to come out on July 22, 2020 but now we have a new date of August 5. The new comic book series features the artwork of comic artist, Illustrator and concept artist Ann Maulina who also did the box art illustration of ‘Coffee Talk‘ and many others.
The Horizon Zero Dawn comic series will following the path of Talanah, a strong and determined hunter, who struggles to find purpose after her trusted friend Aloy as well as investigating a new threat that has sprung up in the Wilds. Titan Comics has also revealed all five other variant covers for the much-anticipated series that is a must for any physical collector of comics – these will surely look great placed on your shelf. You can check out all the covers for the first issue in the picture gallery below, including an incredible variant that has been newly revealed featuring Aloy and Talanah fighting what looks like a brand new machine.
For those of you who don’t own a PlayStation 4, the news that Horizon Zero Dawn will be making its way to PC is great news. In an interview with Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Head of Worldwide Studios, Hermen Hulst finally put the rumors to bed and confirmed that Horizon Zero Dawn coming to PC was true. As a huge fan of the game myself, I was thrilled to hear that more people would experience Aloy’s adventures for themselves. Many of us love a good board game so when board game makers Steamforged Games launched the Kickstarter campaign for its upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game, I couldn’t be happier. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, it has been put on hold for now but hopefully, everything will be up and running as soon as possible because, I for one, would love to get my hands on it.
The comic debuts on August 5 digitally and physically for $3.99. Also, if you haven’t had the chance to play it yet and I’d recommend you do, Horizon Zero Dawn is available now on the PS4 and later on in the year on PC. If you haven’t played it yet, you can check out DualShockers’ review.
