Pikachu comes to your house in July.
Pokémon Go’s annual Go Fest extravaganza will this year take place over two days: 25th and 26th July.
As previously announced, the event will be held remotely in a virtual format, meaning fans can play without travelling to the game’s usual big meetups.
If it looks a more muted affair to previous years, well, there’s no escaping that. 600,000 people travelled to play together in Chicago, Dortmund and Yokohama last summer, in a very different world.
Instead, this year will offer bonuses, rare Pokémon and new Special Research wherever you play. There will be other ways to connect with fellow players, Niantic has said. And for the first time, a ticket to the event will last both days.
More details will follow – today’s announcement is just meant to let Pokéfans mark their calendars.
