What titles could be on the way that would surprise Nintendo Switch fans?
The Nintendo Switch has impressed players over the years, especially with some interesting ports, finding large games such as LA Noire and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt carried over to the system. In a recent interview, CEO of Saber Interactive Matthew Karch, said that’s there’s still a lot of potential in the system and that fans may be surprised about what other titles are on the way.
Speaking to WCCFTech, Karch touches on the success of World War Z and the Nintendo Switch port that’s on the way. The company has been known for porting games to the Switch, bringing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to Nintendo’s portable console along with Vampyr, and Call of Cthulu.
“The upcoming Switch version of World War Z is actually more challenging than the port of The Witcher 3!” Karch reveals in the interview, and despite the Nintendo Switch being a touch over 3 years old now, he feels “there is still a lot of great potential in the hardware and the platform.”
Karch states that they’re still developing games for the platform, “We have had enormous success so far, launching many titles on the Switch, and we are continuing to develop for the platform.” and he mentions that “We [Saber Interactive] do feel there is more developers can get out of the Switch hardware, and we think fans will be surprised at some of the upcoming titles for it.”
Of late, Saber has been revealed to be the co-developer on the upcoming Switch port of Crysis Remastered, and there was also WWE 2K Battlegrounds on the way. The studio was also recently acquired by THQ Nordic.
It’ll be interesting to see what other titles are in line to arrive on the Switch and whether these “upcoming titles” are all going to be ports and remasters.
