Ghostrunner continues to look better and better.
Ghostrunner was one of the many games featured at Gamesradar’s Future Games Show today. We’ve seen quite a bit from One More Level’s latest. Heck, there was even a demo out last month. However, every time it makes an appearance it continues to look better and better. Don’t believe me? Give the new trailer a watch below.
Ghostrunner‘s use of one-hit-one-kill combat and flashy movement make for quite the showpiece. You play as “the most advanced blade fighter ever created.” High praise, that. Fortunately, it definitely looks like the game gives you the tools to live up to those lofty standards.
Honestly, I’m not sure if I’m more excited to play Ghostrunner or to see it in the hands of speedrunners. This game looks like exactly the type of thing that the community will tear apart in the best possible way. I’m sure it will be tons of fun to play, but I want to see what someone who’s mastered the cyber ninja can really do.
Unfortunately, the latest trailer hasn’t given us that elusive release date just yet. It’s still set for sometime in 2020, but One More Level isn’t narrowing the launch down any more than that. Hopefully, we get that information in the coming months. Though, given the state of the world, it wouldn’t be too surprised to see it get pushed back.
Ghostrunner will launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One later this year. No word yet on next-gen consoles, but it feels safe to assume any game coming out this fall has more than a decent chance of making that leap. Stay tuned to DualShockers for more updates from all the streams going on today.
