Ring Fit Adventure had quite the successful week last week and has almost reached 1 million lifetime units sold in Japan.
Some of us have handled quarantine in different ways. Some have decided to play through their favorite video games. Some have decided to try baking bread for the first time. Others have decided to work out from home and I think there is no coincidence that the sales of Ring Fit Adventure skyrocketed last week in Japan.
According to Benji-Sales over on Twitter, Ring Fit Adventure sales increased in Japan last week by 236%. It has sold about 40 thousand copies for the week and has almost reached 1 million units sold in Japan. Coincidence? I think not.
Benji also noted that Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition had the 2nd highest franchise debut in Japan.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, Ring Fit Adventure blends working out and the RPG genre together by utilizing an adjustable workout ring that you can slide the joy-cons into. Sounds funky, right? Well, do not cast judgment just on the sound or look because I have heard from peers that this thing can surely kick your butt if you want it too.
I am glad to see that people out there are utilizing this time to get or stay in shape. I know I have certainly gained a few lbs during this quarantine, but I am sure we all have. But if you haven’t, please tell me your secret. I would love to know.
Ring Fit Adventure is currently available for the Nintendo Switch. If you are a bit weary on picking it up, make sure to check out DualShockers’ official review of the game right here.
