Ghostwire: Tokyo’s first gameplay has been unveiled and the game takes place from the first-person perspective.
Following its original unveiling last year at E3 2019, Tango Gameworks and Bethesda today showed off the first gameplay footage for Ghostwire: Tokyo during Sony’s PlayStation 5 reveal event.
Prior to revealing the gameplay footage, Tango’s Shinji Mikami appeared during the stream with a brief word about the trailer. When the video began, it then became quickly apparent that Ghostwire: Tokyo is a first-person game. The trailer then showed brief glimpses of combat, enemies, and the world of Tokyo in which the title takes place. All in all, it seems to be quite a departure from Tango’s most recent game which is that of The Evil Within 2.
At the conclusion of the trailer, it was also disclosed that Ghostwire: Tokyo is set to release next year in 2021. Most shocking of all, the game will be a console exclusive at first to PS5 in addition to coming to PC.
