Lost in Random, the latest game from Zoink Games, will be launching sometime next year
The EA play show recently wrapped up, and while we didn’t get a look at Skate 4 (yet), we did get the chance to look at some really unique games, such as Lost in Random. This title, from Zoink Games, follows the story of a little girl named Even as she travels through the Kingdom of Random. However, in this Tim Burton-esque world, not everything is out of your control, thanks to an appropriately named die given life, Dicey.
According to Zoink Games CEO and Game Director Klaus Lyngeled, the studio is “driven by rich, visual storytelling” which is evident the first time you take a look at Lost in Random. To be fair, Tim Burton-esque may not do the game justice – it is dark, macabre and the game’s inhabitants range from normal to monstrous. Another one of the game’s Directors, Olov Radmalm, said that with Lost in Random “we wanted to try something a little darker, something out of a gothic fairy tale.” Without a doubt, that objective has been reached.

Though we didn’t get a look at proper gameplay, the game’s teaser trailer did give us some tidbits. We saw Even wielding a massive mace, although instead of a spiky steel ball, its’ head is a D20. No word yet on if you can roll a crit with every attack, but that may just be the D&D player in me hoping.
As of writing, there is no release date set for Lost At Random, although Lyngeled did say that we should be seeing more of the game come next year. If you’re curious about this dice-inspired macabre world, you can check out the game’s official teaser trailer down below.
