A legit insider has revealed tons of new details about Avowed, the upcoming first-person RPG from Obsidian Entertainment.
Last week, Xbox’s most anticipated online event for this month officially went live, revealing lots of new games for Xbox Series X from both first-party and third-party studios working with Microsoft. Avowed, a new first-person RPG from Obsidian Entertainment announced with a brief trailer during the show, and soon, it turned into one of the most-watched trailers of the event.
While there’s not much information about the world and gameplay of Avowed yet, an insider recently revealed lots of details about the game, its scope, and its possible release date. What makes us take the rumor seriously is the fact that Klobrille, a well-known Xbox insider, has confirmed the insider as a legit source.
According to the source, Avowed will be a fully open-world first-person RPG with a large and dense world that is comparable to games like Skyrim. As the rumor reveals, the game will feature next-gen AI and physics systems, along with dynamic weather and deep character creation tools. Avowed is reportedly under development for over two years and it targets a late 2022 or an early 2023 release.
Based on the rumor, there will be two large cities in the game with smaller ones distributed all over the world. The team will have a special focus on creating landmarks, statues, and buildings.
