Glitch is the new playable character joining the roster in Hi-Rez Studios upcoming multiplayer shooter Rogue Company.
Today’s Nintendo Direct Mini just finished a few minutes ago with a bunch of new trailers and updates for upcoming Switch titles including Rogue Company, A new hero-based multiplayer shooter from Hi-Rez Studios coming to all the current-gen platforms and PC.
The trailer has been dedicated to Glitch, the new playable character of the game that will be joining the roster at launch. His main skill is hacking the explosives to kill the opponents or disarming them to rescue himself. That said, we don’t get to see more details about the character and his loadout, though the footage only shows him holding lightweight weapons.
Rogue Company is the debut project from First Watch Games, a subsidiary of Hi-Rez Studios. The game is an objective-based PvP third-person in which two teams of 5 deploy on opposite sides of the map to fulfill a single objective. The first team to wipe out all the opponent members or successfully finish the objective is the winner.
With Glitch joining the company, the game now has nine playable characters. Thus far, Extraction and Wingman are two different modes coming to Rogue Company at launch. While the first one is a 4v4 objective-based mode, the second one is a small 2v2 mode.
Each rogue in the game has its own unique abilities similar to all the hero-based multiplayer games. While shooting is the best way to take down your opponents, you can also rely on your skills, based on your combat style.
Rogue Company doesn’t have an exact release date yet, but you can sign-up for the alpha on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is supposed to feature cross-platform matchmaking and cross-progression system across all platforms at launch.
More news on Rogue Company will be shared soon via the game’s official Twitter account.
