The very first gameplay trailer from EA Sports’ UFC 4 shows off all-new dynamic strikes, high impact moments, and more.
EA Sports is going to start the new generation in full capacity with most of its franchisees getting a new entry later this year. Two years after UFC 3, Electronic Arts is now working on UFC 4, and its most recent trailer highlights some of the new and revamped features of the game.
With UFC 4, EA Sports will be bringing the brand new Real Player Mode (RPM) tech, creating a smooth and fluid fighting experience based on movements and physics. The RPM tech is meant to improve nearly all aspects of fighting mechanics, including takedowns, strikes, and clinch. With new animations added to the takedown moments, now it feels more realistic compared to the previous versions of the series.
The new trailer also reveals the Ground & Pound system, which allows the striker to lay the opponent down on the ground and hit him/her with consecutive fists. The new system provides more options for both defender and striker to use the situation to their privilege, and it tightly depends on your skill in timing your movements to win these tough moments.
Later on, we get to see some interesting takedowns and high impact moments in the trailer with all-new animations and realistic physics. With the key-map appearing on the screen, it seems the game is going to feature simple controlling schemes for striking/defending moves. That said, the game is aimed to bring fast-paced fighting simulation which requires players to have perfect timing.
Aside from the gameplay improvements, UFC 4 is also supposed to expand the game modes available in the series by introducing the brand new street fighting mode that will take you to some interesting locations like backyards and underground rings to fight against opponents.
