The acclaimed goose simulator Untitled Goose Game is getting its long-awaited (and eco-friendly) retail release this year on PS4 and Switch.
With its release last fall, House House and Panic’s Untitled Goose Game honked its way into our hearts, for better and worse. Putting players into the role of a goose on the loose, the charming title stood out from most of the games released last year thanks to its quirky premise. If you missed out when the game quacked into our hearts last year, you now have the opportunity to pick up the game physically with a release from iam8bit and Skybound Games.
During the Summer Game Fest’s second Day of the Devs showcase, iam8bit announced that Untitled Goose Game, the lovable, charming simulator of a goose terrorizing the English countryside, is getting its physical release later this year. In collaboration with Skybound Games, the game will be released physically for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in retailers around the world, along with exclusive items and collector’s editions from iam8bit.
As detailed by iam8bit, the retailer will offer the “Lovely Edition” of Untitled Goose Game on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, which is made entirely of recycled products and eco-friendly packaging. Both the PS4 and Switch editions for Untitled Goose Game also feature additional goodies in the form of a hand-drawn map, a 24-page “Actual Plaza” catalog, a “No Goose” sticker, and reversible cover art. The game’s soundtrack by composer Dan Golding will also be released physically on vinyl, and is also composed entirely of recycled vinyl.
Each of these items are available now for pre-order from iam8bit’s official website, and they are expected to begin shipping in Q3 2020. The PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions of the “Lovely Edition” run for $34.99 and $39.99, respectively, while the vinyl release for the game’s official soundtrack will run for $29.99.
Untitled Goose Game is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mac digitally, with its physical release coming later this year.
