Nvidia is also giving away a free year’s subscription to its game streaming service, GeForce Now, with purchases of any new 3000 series cards
Looking to pick up one of Nvidia’s new 30 series cards but don’t have any games to show off all that raw gaming power? Nvidia has got you covered with a free copy of Watch Dogs Legion, one of the upcoming next-gen titles to feature ray tracing.
Revealed in a promotion on the hardware manufacturer’s website, purchasers of the 3070, 3080 or 3090 can expect to also receive a digital code for Watch Dogs Legion, one of Ubisoft’s upcoming titles. This deal lasts from September 17, the day before the 3080 is available for purchase, until October 29, leaving potential purchasers with a little over a month to pick up one of these new cards along with its extra goodies.
If you’re not all that keen on upgrading your PC yourself or you’re looking to buy a brand new desktop, don’t worry, you can still take advantage of this offer. It counts for purchases of the cards by themselves or with pre-built machines including one of the 30 series cards.
Along with a free copy of Watch Dogs Legion, picking up one of these new cards will also net you a free one-year subscription to Nvidia’s game streaming service GeForce Now. The code for this service is valid through September 17 but extends to November 30.
Watch Dogs Legion won’t be the only upcoming title to make full use of the new cards from Nvidia. Multiple current and next-gen titles, including Cyberpunk 2077, are planning on implementing some form of ray tracing and DLSS 2.0, an AI that improves framerate while ray tracing is active. Some older titles will also be updated to include support for the soon-to-be widely available rendering technique, namely Fortnite.
