Of course Fortnite ain’t afraid of no ghosts.
October is always a fun time in the video game calendar. We start to ramp up towards the big holiday releases and the existing games start to get spooky. This year is no different, with the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2, Pokemon GO and Overwatch all joining in the festivities.
Another game deep in the Halloween spirit is Fortnite. The popular battle royale is currently hosting the Fortnitemares event in which players can return from the dead as ghostly spirits in order to haunt and eliminate their adversaries. Alongside the event, developers Epic have revealed the latest pop-culture crossover on Twitter and it ain’t afraid of no ghosts.

The new Ghostbusters set is available now in the Fortnite Item Shop and contains a variety of items from the popular ’80s franchise. The items start from as little as 400 V-Bucks for the Ghost Trap and Proton Pack and go all the way up to 1200 for the Ecto-Glider. As with all Fortnite cosmetics, they will be time-limited so grab them while you can.
Fortnite is famed for having an array of crossover events with huge franchises. Alongside the Ghostbusters, this year we’ve seen tonnes of Marvel characters make the leap, Harley Quinn and more DC characters and a crossover event with Rocket League to name but a few.
Fortnite isn’t the only title to get spooky with Ghostbusters this year either. As part of the game’s Haunted Hallows event, Rocket League has added a range of challenges that will allow players to unlock certain Ghostbusters themed items. Alongside the unlockable items, there will be more available for purchase in the Rocket League shop.
